Wonder why leaves change color in the Fall?
This hands-on activity will help your students see and understand what's going on under the green chlorophyll in a tree's green leaves, and why those leaves change color.
Resources for More Information:

Autumn Leaf Investigation
Students gather one green leaf and one colored leaf from the same tree.  They grind the green leaf with alcohol, and use paper chromatography to record the colors that are inside the green leaf.
